Currency

National currency: Estonian kroon (EEK) = 100cents
Fixed exchange rate: 1 EUR= 15.65 EEK
Most larger hotels, stores and restaurants accept Visa, MasterCard, Eurocard,Diner’s Club and American Express. However, it is advisable to carry some Estonian kroons with you.
Traveller’s checks can be exchanged in most banks but are less likely to be accepted in shops. Eurocheque is the most widely accepted traveller’s check,but American Express and Thomas Cook are also accepted.
Banks are plentiful and easy to find in
Tallinn.Most are open from 9:00 to 18:00 on weekdays, while some offices are also open on Saturday mornings. All banks offer currency exchange services. Exchange offices can also be found in larger hotels, the airport, harbor, railroad station and major shopping centers.
Transportation
Airport – Town. By bus - There is a regular bus service between
Tallinn
Airport and the City Centre. Tickets are obtained from the bus driver. Cost of a one way ticket is 20 kroons. The Airport bus stop is located in front of the Arrival hall.
By taxi - The most convenient way to get to the hotels from the airport is by taxi. Taxi stop islocated in front of the Arrival hall. The fare is in the range of 100-200 EEK depending on the hotel location.
Public Transport. Buses, trolleys and trams operate regularly from 6:00 to 24:00.
There is direct trolley No.3 from City Center to University Campus ( to Keemia stop), time for route 25 minutes. From hotels take trolley No.4 to Vambola or Liivaku stop and then transfer to trolley No.3 (up to Keemia stop) or take trolley No.3 at Tõnismägi stop.
Make sure that you either have a valid ticket before getting on public transportation or that you buy one from the driver immediately upon entering. If you need to buy a ticket, enter at the front door; tickets are only sold at stops, not while the vehicle is moving. Note that tickets bought from the driver are more expensive than those bought at a newsstand.
Bus, trolley and tram tickets can be purchased at newsstands for EEK 13 or from the driver for EEK 20. You can also by a 10 ticket package for EEK 90.
Punch your ticket right after entering at a machine located throughout the bus, trolley or tram. Note that you must punch your ticket immediately upon entering.

Passport and Visa
For the citizens of most of the European countries and of the
USA, a valid passport is all that is required to enter
Estonia. Nevertheless, we recommend that you consult the home-page of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (www.vm.ee/eng) or contact your local Estonian consulate to ensure that visa is not required. It is each participant’s responsibility to acquire the necessary traveling documents. The official invitations needed for a visa will be delivered by the Conference Secretariat at the participant’s request.

Communication
Within
Estonia, you can make local and international calls from card-operated public payphones.Telephone cards costing 50 and 100 EEK are sold at newsstands, post offices and the tourist information office.
To call abroad from
Estonia,dial 00 before the country code. Estonian country code is 372. Public phones require calling cards (available at R-kiosks and hotels)
The GSM mobile phone system is available;please check compatibility with your operator.
Post Offices
Post offices are usually open from 9:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and from 9:00 to15:00 on Saturdays.
Tallinn’s Central Post Office is located in the centre, at Narva mnt. 1, and is open Mon-Fri 7.30-20.00, Sat 9.00-18.00,Sun 9.00-15.00.
Insurance
The organizers cannot accept any liability for personal accident, loss or damage to private property,which may be incurred as a result of the participation in the conference. All participants are strongly recommended to arrange appropriate travel, health and accident insurance prior to their departure from home.
